Date macro repeat setting not possible on specific weekdays?

Hi,

A truly fantastic plugin this scene switcher!

It just seems to be missing one item that would make life easier for me ;-) Or maybe i just cannot find how to set this up. Let me explain:

I use the Date macro a lot and recently i was asked to show a media file only on specific days of the week, starting on the hour with a repeat on every next hour upto midnight. In between the normal program should be shown.

So for example: A program is showing on monday, wednesday and friday from 19:00 to 06:00 the next morning, but at 20:00 a 10 minute video clip should be shown and that clip should be repeated at 21:00, 22:00 and 23:00 and only on mondays, wednesdays and fridays.

I tried everything, but the specific weekdays setting cannot be combined with the repeat setting as far as i can tell.

The workaround seems to be to setup the date macro on monday, wednesday and friday 3 times for each day - for every hour that the clip should interrupt the running scene.

For multiple days and multiple times per day this would create a large amount of macro lines, a repeat function per weekday would be a great addition to prevent that i.m.h.o.

I will try to look into it I find the time to.

In the mean time you might be able to work with the "Timer" action / condition instead.
So, for example you could use this macro to switch scenes every hour:

And control (start / stop / pause / reset) the timer from your other macro, which handles the day of the week:
