From Gavin Halliday where they use this package for unicode:

• It is a set of functions you can use to process unicode strings e.g comparison in different locales, normalization, convertion to and from other codepages/representations, breaking strings into words etc.
• The Unicode functions are all wrapped in other functions – you can find them in rtl/eclrtl/eclrtl.cpp. Seatch for _USE_ICU
• Also plugins/unicodelib/unicodelib.cpp

Starting now to try and compile and use the ICU package. Succeeded on windows using an sample project using VS 2019. It only worked in release mode because I was using the pre-compiled libraries from github.

Now I'm trying to actually compile the C code from scratch using VSCode. Running the runConfigureICU but not working so far.
