Loadify App Visual Refresh: Typography and Look

This issue proposes a comprehensive visual update for the Loadify app focused on modernizing its aesthetic, improving readability, and creating a stronger, more consistent brand identity. The primary changes will revolve around typography and general visual styling.

Goal

  • Improve the app's overall perceived quality and user experience.
  • Enhance text readability across all platforms and devices.
  • Establish a consistent and modern visual language.

Key Changes

1. Typography Update (New Font Selection)

  • Proposed Action: Select and implement a new, modern, highly legible font to replace the current typeface (or system default).
  • Requirements:
    • The font must be easily readable on screen, particularly for small text and long-form content (e.g., download lists, settings).
    • It should have a variety of weights (light, regular, bold) to allow for a clear visual hierarchy.
    • A preference is for a sans-serif font that is either open-source (e.g., Inter, Roboto, Poppins) or readily available for application use.

2. General Visual Styling (New Look)

  • Color Palette: Review and potentially refine the core color palette. Consider slightly softer or more vibrant primary/accent colors while ensuring high contrast for accessibility.
  • Spacing and Layout: Evaluate and adjust key component spacing (padding and margins) to create more visual 'breathing room' and reduce clutter.
  • Iconography: Review current icon set. Ensure all icons are visually consistent with the new font and have a modern, clean line style (e.g., less filled/solid, more outlined).
  • Component Styling: Update the look of primary UI elements:
    • Buttons (e.g., corner radius, hover states).
    • Input fields and text areas.
    • Navigation elements.

Acceptance Criteria

  • All text elements in the app use the newly selected font.
  • The overall UI feels cohesive and modern, aligning with the design goals.
  • Accessibility standards for color contrast and font size/line height are met or improved.

Next Steps (for the team)

  1. Design Exploration: The design team should explore a few font options and create mock-ups of key screens (e.g., home screen, settings) to visualize the changes.
  2. Font Selection: Finalize the typeface and obtain necessary licensing/integration details.
  3. Implementation: Roll out the changes across the app.
