I'm unclear on a couple of things:

1. How do I invalidate the cache either entirely or for a particular security so that I can force a fresh retrieval of current pricing information.
2. It seems like updating adjusted-close without having to re-down all the history is a feature of this package?? (or perhaps I'm misunderstanding). Not clear on how this works. My use case is that I want to look at year-long or multi-year adjusted prices of a security to perform statistical analysis. Say my query is something along the lines of "SPY from 2020-07-24 to 2025-07-24" for today and then tomorrow it would be "SPY from 2020-07-24 to 2025-07-25" (+1) and thus all the adjusted closes would need to be updated with the new days worth of data.
3. Is there a way to tell what the download data was for a particular set of data/securities in the cache? Something along the lines of 'VTI was downloaded at 2025-07-24 12:24:03'

I was playing with this about a month ago and had ingested 'VTI' as the ticker. I re-ran the code today and it still seem to be showing me the data from more than a month ago rather than having invalidated the cached data and fetched the current price.. From data.info() I'm seeing a field set to 'maxAge': 86400 which I had assumed meant 'seconds' and thus 24-hours, but perhaps I've got it configured wrong??

1. Cache cannot be marked invalid. You could force fresh by setting max_age to 1 second.

2. all the adjusted closes would need to be updated with the new days worth of data - only if new day has a dividend. Look closer at how Yahoo calculates Adj Close.

That's a bug. Are you sure you have latest version?
