Feature request - Renaming

• Rename heaviest file to strip "_T##" so Plex can recognize it as the main title.

I'd favor the sub-directory approach of plex.

Nice idea, but what do you mean by "_T##"?
Maybe write down a real-life example of the file names. I never had any file starting with "_T" or am I missing something here.

I don't mind the sub-dir approach. Whatever works best for you. It doesn't change much for me.

That's the result of the rip. t01 being the main title and the rest are extras.

So I sat down and wrote everything that could make bulk a better program the way I see it. Considering I’m using Plex, this technique would rename and move files so it’s recognize by Plex. It’s only a suggestion. Feel free to modify it if you think it can be better.

Bulk should be able to scan the specified iso directory for .iso and bdmv files only. Also, it should scan inside the bdmv files for any .part files. If found, the bdmv file should be skipped.

During the convert process, bulk should make a directory for the ripped files to be move to once the convert is completed. This directory should be named according to the movie name with the release year if possible (“The Movies Name (2015)”).

During the rip, files are stored in a temp directory.
Once the rip is done, the heaviest file (main title) should have “_T##” stripped from it name and release year should be added like so : The Movie Name (2015).mkv

Every other files should be moved into an extra folder called “Behind The Scenes”. No need to rename these files.

Move iso/bdmv file into “Done” directory.

Tree example of the ripped files:

done/
iso/
    The_Movie_Name.iso       # This file will be moved to “done” dir once ripped.

new/
    The Movie Name (2015)/
        The Movie Name (2015).mkv
        Behind The Scenes/
            The_Movie_Name_t00.mkv

I think that once a iso/bdmv file has been ripped, the best way to avoid ripping it again is to move it into the “done” dir. If you just add the target and iso dir to the config file, it won’t skip it because the mkv files don’t have the same name as the iso/bdmv file.

Example. These won’t match so bulk will rip it again. :
