Does your inverter not support CAN communication for the BYD? I have an inverter emulator that I use for testing. |

No its a Growatt SPF5000ES...I was thinking of a way to trick the BYD into staying alive to allow the Growatt to manage the charging and discharging... Btw I am happy to just send the "keep alive" signal. I don't require any of the data. Is this possible? I have some modules I can make a simple CAN bus rig using an ESP32. |

Does it not work if you connect the BYD battery to the inverter, both the BYD and SPF5000ES support CANBus and RS485? |

Im not sure if you guys are aware there is 30minute shutdown timer for the BYD Box/Premium LV Flex battery systems if no inverter is connected. Is there a way to send a "keep alive" to the BYD so that it doesnt shutdown?
