Should we leave the TSV files behind, and if so, when?

At present, all corrections are being made in the TSV (spreadsheet) files which originally came from the Bodleian, but at some point we would like to leave these behind and make the TEI XML (currently generated from the TSV) the canonical source for the data. Whether and when to do this should be a community decision. We believe that TEI XML is a far superior and more flexible data format, but if anyone imagines reconstituting the original relational database at some point, they might want to do that using the TSV files.
