Currently, ChimeIn has an import feature which allows presenters to "pull" content from elsewhere into their course. This works. However, some presenters are used to a "push" workflow who start with the questions they want to copy, and then are looking for a "Copy to" option.
I think it would be beneficial to add a "Copy to" option to folders and questions:
"Copy to" is how content copying works within an LMS like Canvas or Blackboard. ChimeIn LTI users are more likely to expect the same workflow as an LMS.
Often – especially if you're teaching multiple courses and sections – you're not sure of which chime or folder houses the questions you want to import. In these cases, a user opens a separate tab to look this up, and then goes back to the import tool to put this information in. "Copy to" let's users start the process with finding the content they want to copy if they don't know.
The "import" option is tucked away in an upper menu and only available on the Folder settings (which I still forget – I usually check the Chime settings first). With "Copy to..." we could put it closer to the user's context, right in the "more" menu on a given folder or question they wish to copy.
