Text from Instagram crossposts

I am wondering if it is possible to get the texts from posts cross posted to tumblr from Instagram. I am working on a book and a lot of detail is buried in these posts, many of which no longer exist on Instagram, but the text and images are still available on tumblr. Maybe I am just overlooking something.
