Enchantments

Is it intentional for the mace and pike to not be enchantable with weapon enchants like sharpness?

As long as I don't have enough time to work on Reforged, yes.
However, that might be a good addition for the next version

I think this mod is a great addition to modpacks and would love to see it continued, I would be able to work on it at some point.
