How does the editing of messages work?

Hi! I've found that I get 2 messages after editing appeared in the web interface. One of them contains in SkypeTextMsg.raw the key 'skypeeditedid' with clientId of itself usually. Also it contains {'isserversidegenerated': 'True'} in 'properties' key.

And second message not contains 'skypeeditedid' but contains 'edittime' in raw['properties'] that is timestamp.
Also could be third message with empty content and something like this if the link of editing of the same message appears.

I always thought that message with 'skypeeditedid' is the main of them and I always just used it to get the most fresh state of the same message in web interface (with the same clientId). But yesterday I found the bug in my system due to an unexpected behaviour — this message doesn't contain anything in properties['emotions']. But the message with 'edittime' contains it.

So, do I understand correct that message with 'skypeeditedid' is not the main and I should just omit it and use editing message wtih 'edittime' instead? How does it works? Why does skype have separation like this? Help me, please, to get the most fresh state of message with saving of chain of edits of it to my database.

I've just found that editing message with edittime has the same id as initial edited message had. So, looks like it is the same message, but with edited content 🤔

Probably I should just omit the saving of second message with skypeeditedid and just update an old message by the same id as edittime message in my database. If I need edits history, than implement history of content changes by myself. For example with help of https://django-simple-history.readthedocs.io/.

But I still really not sure that skypeeditedid doesn't contain any usefull unique information. And that in any cases any other messages with another fields can appear.

And new funny thing. Just let you know, that skpy.SkypeEventLoop catches just secondary message with skypeeditedid. So, looks like, that I should get most updated message with all smiles manually from the chat after I get this message from SkypeEditMessageEvent.
