Why is TcOpen using directly referenced libraries over placeholder concept?

Hello,

I've noticed that TcOpen uses direct referencing of libraries in other TcOpen libraries.
Is there any reason for prefering this way over the Beckhoff recommended placeholder concept?
Ist it to avoid compatibility issues?

Thanks for the question.
That was a design decision when implementing the IVF compiler. One reason behind that path is that TcOpen libraries are associated with NuGet packages (twin connector and WPF library for visualization). This better fits dependency management and prevents possible compatibility issues.
