Can't run Subtitle Edit properly, it doesn't play or generate, may be its a software problem ?

Hi there again, I downloaded subtitle edit 4.0.3 recently but it won't play any video I upload on it, shows only the waveform of the video but can't play nor generate anything on it, I chose the right layout, set MPV as my video player, but still nothing ... may be I missed something there or didn't download a specific file, please reply or ask me for more details ... THANK YOU.
