QQ: orphaned data

Does this require any particular settings to work correctly?
Using add !qb to incomplete files seems to see them all as orphans.
Does it matter if original layout or create subfolder is used?

I seem to get loooots of orphans but in the UI, they're active.

you can set the extensions to ignore and not considered orphaned
