outline iterations for story mapping #811

Description

Storymapping: After we did a prioritization (move important cards up), ist would be helpful if we could "draw" a line to define what needs to go in the Minimum viable product mvp) and then additional lines, what will go to release 1 or 2 etc. --> we can outline iterations or releases of our map. We could also move cards from one release to another. I see this as a major advantage of story mapping over backlogs as it allows for an easy way to organize / prioritize and define releases in a visual way and with the overview.

Describe the solution you'd like

In Storymapping:

  • Add a Button to add an "iteration"
  • you could give it a name
  • This would add somehow an empty rectangle with the name on the top left
  • You can now drag and drop cards into this rectangle and with that these stories are set to be part of this "iteration" (there would be a field in the card "iteration" with the name of the iteration"
  • You could add additional releases that would line up below the iteration before
  • you could drag and drop cards also into this release or from one release to another (and it would update the field "release".
  • you could also delete a release (but it must be empty)
  • All cards that are not in a release would be at the bottom (and the releases would add up above)

could look like on this image.
