The largest planet in our solar system is Jupiter. Jupiter is the fifth planet from the Sun and is known for its immense size. It has a diameter of about 143,000 kilometers (88,800 miles), which is more than 11 times the diameter of Earth. Jupiter is a gas giant and is composed mostly of hydrogen and helium. Its mass is approximately 2.5 times that of all the other planets in the solar system combined. Jupiter also has a complex system of moons, with the four largest ones known as the Galilean moons: Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto.
