Editing repos GUI method issue

When i try to launch software and updates to configure what Sources are enabled it doesn't launch. When I try from terminal i get the following:

I get the following when i try to select reposities in synaptic.. Any suggestions how to FIX as unable to access the repo screen because of the errors?

Ok, I fixed the errors but when I select repos in synaptic nothing happens, I e the repo selections never show up

I assume that repository editing is broken in Synaptic as they transition to the new sources.list format described here: #527

Just as a reminder, all development and packaging is completely dependent on the upstream Debian project, as SpiralLinux by design does not have its own package repositories and has no control over installed systems.

Yes, I installed spiral with testing repos on a virtual machine and the same issue was present so must be broken in testing
