Gparted is for partitioning and formatting disks. I find it very useful when there is another Linux system or a Windows system installed on the same hard drive. It's also useful to diagnose and fix or format portable USB storage devices / pendrives / thumbdrives. Dconf Editor is a graphical interface for modifying settings of many applications and desktop environments, some of which are only accesible in Dconf Editor. |

GParted and Dconf Editor. Can someone when and if they get a chance tell me in a "for dummies" /CliffsNotes kinda way when I would use these or what I might wanna do with them ? I did read what I could find on them online but it wasn't all clear to me exactly as it was mostly over my head tech wise.
Should I consider the idea of uninstalling one or both of them or NO ! don't do that as I may need one or both in the future ? From what I can gather as a novice (at best) with Linux they would never be used by me.
Or am I wrong ?
