revamp default meter properties screen #32

I've gotten several complaints the current layout is confusing. The presence of the "Built-In" tab is confusing because none of the entries in it are editable but it is the default screen.
Perhaps the Built-In tab does not need to exist, and the Overrides tab simply shows the 'final' meter properties (i.e. both built-in and overrides applied). Then when you add a new override the properties start out with the built-in values, and you can tweak them, and those become the override values.
Another comment I got was that it's confusing that pressing esc to close the screen does not save the changes you made. Perhaps it should always save (thereby removing the need for the 'cancel' button) or otherwise show a confirmation screen warning that changes will be lost.
