I previously opened a PvP server a year ago. where our players wanted the building armor inside the server to not be 0 because it needed to be fought outside, and the safe zone where combat was prohibited and allowed to be built and traded here, it was in a completely closed area, and the only way to destroy the internal buildings was to charges

Even aside from charges and detonators, if a player shoots a rocket from outside the safezone at a building in the safezone it will deal damage to the items. We could prevent damage to barricades and structures that are placed inside safezones, but that may have unintended side effects for other mods.

In the code it looks like the original intention was to prevent building in an area without restricting PvP, rather than the other way around.

Do you have an idea of what should change in this for vanilla? I wonder if this might better be handled by plugins.

Regarding the issue of players firing rockets from outside the safe zone to inside the safe zone, we can set the safe zone below the surface or use concrete or obj with a special clip component to block it. (Modifying the layer of the clip component to player can block and detonate rockets, setting the layer to enemy can block bullets, this is how my spherical shield mod is implemented, but unfortunately I can't find a way to block explosion damage that will not block the player from passing but also block explosion damage, that is to say, although it can block shells and bullets, it cannot block explosive damage, and players and buildings within the shield range can still be injured)

Of course, if you are convenient, you can add a new option in the map editor: Are the buildings in this safe zone invincible, or should we allow repair tools (e.g. blowtorches) to use and repair buildings and vehicles in the safe zone?

I believe that detonators should be considered weapons that are prohibited from being used in safe zones, as long as they prevent bombs from being placed in safe zones.

Because we can block external attacks by surrounding the safe zone with building walls, but we cannot prevent players from entering the safe zone and placing explosives in it.
As long as you can do that, I think it's fine
