Application cache sharing with macOS works only some times

I have a symlink

~/.config/deezer-desktop -> /Volumes/Storage/Music/deezer-desktop

Where Storage is exfat partition that I use to share data with Windows and macOS. I have a lot of music cached in this dir, from macOS. But very often deezer just crash without any message to console. So I need to purge this symlink and use a separate cache for Linux.

You could start by using the same (major) version of electron on Linux as on the other platform and see if the application does not crash any more.

I have no way to test this, so I cannot help you with this unfortunately.

It was fine for some time after switch from exfat to ntfs and creation of initial cache on Linux. But today I see very same issue.

You have to make sure all running instances of deezer are closed, otherwise you get this message.

My suggestion would be to run deezer with electron5 to see if the issue disappears when you use the same electron version to access the cache as the other platform.

Furthermore, the DZ_DEVTOOLS is for frontend debugging.

I think that macOS app some times doesn't quit gracefully upon reboot, I had tried removing Singleton* and LOCK with no luck.

I want to mention that I never seen this problem with native macOS app, it always accepts shared cache after reboot.
