Provide type of payment method

I posted on Slack but figured it would be lost to the sands of time so I'll document my request here:

Please surface the payment type within customization functions so that we can hide specific payment methods such as "external" or "wallets", etc.

I wonder if the PaymentCustomization api could add type to the method https://shopify.dev/docs/api/functions/reference/payment-customization/graphql/common-objects/paymentcustomizationpaymentmethod

Another more specific use-case for providing the type, especially as it relates to "accelerated" payments is conditionally hiding them when a cart contains specific products or specific types of customers.
