[bug] Running scoop checkup gives an error

I ran updates on scoop and some python error occurred during the upgrade to python. I went to run scoop checkup and it gave an error:

$  scoop checkup
Error: The system cannot find the file specified. (0x80070002)

Any idea what could be the issue? Or is there a way to repair the installation?
