Hello Scoop maintainers,
Thank you for your ongoing work—Scoop has been invaluable for seamless, non-admin package installations.
Issue description
While trying to install Git, the process requires 7-Zip to extract certain packages. Scoop fetches 7-Zip from 7-zip.org, which is hosted via an ISP located in war zone. Such war zone regions are commonly flagged as untrusted by some DDI/security provider due to ongoing conflict. Consequently, any downloads from these domains are blocked by policy, making Git installations via Scoop impossible.
Please note: this is not a decision by our organization, but a restriction pre configured by the security/DII provider we (and many others) rely on.
Proposed solutions

This would help ensure compliance with security policies while preserving Scoop’s usability in restricted environments.
Thank you for considering this. Scoop is a great tool, and flexibility here would benefit many users facing similar security constraints.
Warm regards,
