What does this mean in log file? "Checking for live photo video components"

A couple of weeks/months ago there was an issue with Apple Live Photos when they were added to albums with the script.
"Live Photos" consist of a static image and a short video clip that would play then selected.
The issue was that if the video clip was added to an album via the API, the Immich Mobile App (both on Android and iOS) would show the two assets separately, with a broken thumbnail for the video clip.
So a workaround was implemented into this script to identify any video clips belonging to a live photo and then discarding them before building Album information and adding assets to albums. That's what this log entry refers to. If it finds any video clips belonging to a Live Photo, there will be another log entry saying "Removed x live photo video components". All of this only refers to the script's runtime index, it will not change/delete anything in your external library.

It's possible this workaround is no longer necessary since the issues on Immich's side seem to be fixed by now.

@Salvoxia Gotcha thanks for the quick reply. I actually have 99% Samsung based Motion Photos on my system so sounds like this may not be for me. I have noticed in the past (months ago) where I would come across random 2-3 second videos when browsing (via Immich TV android app). I wonder if somehow related. Haven't seen one pop up in some time though.

I imagine it might be the same principle, but I don't know if/how Immich supports Samsung Motion Photos. It's Immich's job to create the association between the still image and the video clip part. If it does that, it shouldn't matter whether it's Apple-based, Samsung-based or whatever-based, to the script it looks just the same.
Long story short: It might be relevant for you, but only if Immich supports it in the first place and you are actually uploading Motion Photos. to Immich.

@Salvoxia It does support it. I know it will strip the video and put into the encodedvideo folder with a -MP at the end and also have the image separate. Thanks
