2 Basic questions to help a newbie Get Started with the Connector 🙏

Hello!
I just read the help documentation.
I have 2 basic questions:

1. Does this code-base (by default) only allow transfer of data from B2C to CRM - i.e - unidirectional?
2. How do I get started with testing this connector? Do I need to trigger a job in SFCC? Or can this be triggered from SFSC as well?

1. Does this code-base (by default) only allow transfer of data from B2C to CRM - i.e., - unidirectional? Re: By Default - it includes ability to sync customers from B2C Commerce to CRM. In addition - you have the ability to enable bi-directional sync for certain datapoints using the 'Custom Metadata' definitions in CRM.
2. How do I get started with testing this connector? Do I need to trigger a job in SFCC? Or can this be triggered from SFSC as well? Re: Once the connector is setup properly - you can validate a test by creating a customer or perform a guest checkout on B2C Commerce storefront to validate near real-time sync between both platforms. Scheduled jobs are also presented which can be executed on B2C Commerce. From SFSC standpoint- ability to make on-demand calls to SFCC is supported at Account/Person Account level.

If I scour the source code, I see that there are possibilities for sending information from SFSC to SFCC using Platform events.
My assumption is that SFCC subscribes to these platform events (that are published by SFSC).

In my mind, the components of the package can be broken down into:

1. Internal Plumbing - elements that need to be there for the framework to work
2. Extension points - base configuration that serve as inspiration to be extended for other use cases.

Which flows/classes/triggers/others would you classify as Extension points? 🙏
