Code improvements

For the next release I propose the following internal code changes:

• Abstract the calculation request to the base application layer
• provide an easier register event function for the frontend
• make Project a class with methods to excess the data
• make project store the converted inputs if necessary
• improve the conversion class and provide an API that enables the frontend to access the values
