I really dont know the appropriate term calling this idea. But please read.

I am thinking of an instance of a portal like a folder path where the file being open there will only occupy the window size of that particular portal.. like opening a document or an image file where it only affects the window allocated in that particular portal.. (maybe like sandbox function) i really dont know whats the appropriate term for this.

@mafiasoph , I am think you are referring to zones. Install Microsoft PowerToys. Enable 'Fancy Zones' & configure.
Open the file, then shift drag it into your specified zone, similar to Windows 11's snapping zones. Currently I know of no program that does this automatically.
