[ENHANCEMENT] Top-level Toggle for Concurrent/Multi-file Edits

Concurrent/Multi-file edits are powerful but buried in experimental settings.
There’s no quick, first-class on/off control, making it hard to temporarily enable high-throughput edits or quickly disable concurrency during sensitive work.

I'm exploring a potential fix for adding top-level toggle buttons for concurrent/multi-file edits. I'll open a PR to share progress once I have a working implementation.

If you turn these on or off midway through a task you will likely break the apply_diff file edits for that session as models seem to take queues on how to edit files not only from the tool instructions but also from the previous edits made within that chat/task session. Basically, this would cause major instability on the chat.

Why not just keep it enabled?

I've created PR #8793 to address this issue: #8793

The implementation adds a 'Concurrent Edits' toggle in the Auto-Approve dropdown for quick access to the multi-file edits feature (MULTI_FILE_APPLY_DIFF experiment). This eliminates the need to navigate through experimental settings for users who frequently do batch refactors or multi-file updates.

All CI checks are passing. Feedback and review are welcome!

I wasn’t aware of this specific issue, probably because I haven’t bumped into it in my workflow.
Before starting a task I usually toggle the auto-approvals I need, and lately I’ve been using both Concurrent/Multi-file edits with good results.
That’s why having these as top-level, easily accessible toggles (e.g., near “Write”) would be very handy, so I don’t have to dive into experimental settings each time.
