Option to disable/enable compacting

Is it possible to add an option to disable/enable the history compacting feature?
I am using Roo for coding in a way that I prefer to get an error of running out of context instead of silently getting a compact history, and now knowing exactly what remains in the context.
Even an AI-based compacting that is better than a sliding window is too risky for my use.
