Drag files without shift #4135

Hi @fabb! I'm Dosu and I’m helping the Roo-Code team. Currently, Roo Code requires you to hold the Shift key when dragging files from the File Explorer into the chat input. This behavior was introduced to enable @-mentioning files via drag-and-drop, and the documentation specifies that you must hold Shift after you start dragging the files for this to work. However, I could not find any documentation or discussion explaining the specific reason for this design choice, nor any information about plans to change it or allow drag-and-drop without Shift, as you described in Copilot. If this workflow is important to you, it may be worth sharing your feedback with the Roo Code team for future consideration. You can see more details in the official documentation: To reply, just mention my name @dosu. How did I do? Good | Irrelevant | Incorrect | Verbose | Hallucination | Report 🐛 | Other |

I think this is a VSCode thing that we can't control... |

Hi! Is there a reason why files can only be dragged in when holding shift? Coming from copilot where we can just drag in files/folders/tabs/problems without holding shift, it seems like an unnecessary complication.
