📌 Summary

A Prompt++ feature for VSCode designed to help developers communicate complex requests to AI more clearly and efficiently. The system analyzes a user’s prompt, suggests improved versions, allows users to select which suggestions to keep, and then summarizes the user’s intent back to the AI. It also provides feedback like “Did you mean this?” to clarify meaning and reduce misunderstandings. Crucially, the AI should consider the existing codebase and prior conversation context when generating feedback and summaries to ensure relevance and accuracy.

🎯 Features

1. AI Prompt Enhancement Panel

   • The user’s prompt is analyzed by AI.
   • AI generates improved prompt suggestions (e.g., more detailed, concise, or technical), based on current project code and conversation context.

2. Selectable Suggestions

   • Suggested prompts are shown as checkboxes or cards.
   • Users can select one or multiple suggestions or skip if none fit.

3. Summary and Confirmation with Context Awareness

   • After selections, AI:

     • Summarizes what it understood in brief, referring to relevant existing code or previous interactions.
     • Asks the user “Did you mean this?” for confirmation.
     • Optionally generates a final revised prompt.

4. Prompt++ Mode

   • This runs as a special mode (Prompt++ mode: ON).
   • When active, AI tries harder to understand and improve every prompt, taking into account current code and dialogue context.
