add support to save tasks in custom directories (storage reasons)

my current roo code folder is about 25gb and i recall having done some pruning not long ago. Would be nice to be able to save the big stuff on a specific drive and keep my C drive clean-ish

discussions in the discord show that this is most likely the bug from #3080

so i guess this could be a workaround until a fix is found?
