  • .roomodes currently lives in root, should be moved to .roo/
    • Roo should ship a JSON schema for VSCode hover-over support when configuring this file
  • system-prompt-MODENAME currently lives in .roo/, should be moved to .roo/MODENAME and be renamed override-system-prompt.md

  • UI states that custom instructions for all modes can be loaded from .roo/rules/ Confusingly, this is a reference to a directory, not a file, even though the UI shows a text box input. Move this to .roo/rules.md
  • In multiple cases, the UI allows prompts to be specified via text box in the GUI as well as via a config file. Provide the user with clarity on how conflicts are handled.
    • Recommend reserving the UI for settings/controls/toggles, such that the relevant files within .roo/ serve as the single source of truth for prompt content.
