I love this feature request though I'm unsure if it should be done natively or we should simply provide guidance on the best way to do this with external tools. |

Given the interest (20 upvotes for a FR is high), probably the former since it's bog-standard functionality at this point + self-contained and thus likely does not create much of a maintenance burden. Minimum implementation would likely be taking the dictation starter app provided in Google AI Studio, stripping out the UI provided in the sample, and plugging it into the textarea (triggered by slash command, clicking on a microphone icon, or similar.) |
