Dear Ctrlr Users,

A new version for the CtrlrX Fork has been released: CtrlrX v5.6.33
It's now available on the CtrlrX Master and on the CtrlrX 5.6.33 Branch.

Here is the list of all fixed issues for CtrlrX v5.6.33 :

• FIXED VST3 Host>CtrlrX interface. Sliders now reacts to Host automations of parameter values. Related Modulators send MIDI output messages. CtrlrProcessor.cpp & .h, CtrlrModulator.cpp & .h, CtrlrModulatorProcessor.cpp & .h
• FIXED ADD, REMOVE, RELOAD resource pane buttons not reacting on certain setups. Z-index added. Thanks to @dnaldoog. CtrlrPanelResourceEditor.cpp
• ADDED Property line height base value in Preferences>GUI. CrrlrIDs.h, CtrlrIDs.xml, CtrlrSettings.cpp, CtrlrManager.cpp, CtrlrManagerInstance.cpp, CtrlrPropertyComponent.cpp

• FIXED Useless menu item "Register file extensions" hidden for macOS binaries. CtrlrEditorApplicationCommandsMenus.cpp
• ADDED LuaBind function addColumnBreak() for PopupMenu. LComponents.cpp
• ADDED SliderType LinearBarVertical, RotaryHorizontalVerticalDrag, TwoValueHorizontal, TwoValueVertical, ThreeValueHorizontal, ThreeValueVertical. CtrlrComponentTypeManager.h & CtrlrComponentTypeManager.cpp, CtrlrIDs.xml

Compiling :

For the people looking to compile CtrlrX v5.6.33, it's required to clear all your IDE (Visual Studio & Xcode) temp files from the folder CtrlrX/Build and restart from scratch with CtrlrX.jucer with projucer because many settings have been updated in the project file.

PS 1: It's required to delete ctrlr.settings to refresh your global preferences since I removed and updated CtlrlrX default global settings.

Thanks so much for continuing the work on this. Its been a while since I've been around.

With 5.6.33 I see that VST3 instance exporting has been improved. Do exporting instances now take the publisher and name from Ctrlr, or do we still need to compile our own custom versions with updated names and publisher for VST3 and AU? I'm about to upgrade the Jupiter 8 Morph to Apple Silicon and this would simplify the issue. I now have an Apple Silicon Mac for just this purpose, so will be steep learning for me.

The way windows inserts the resources and the panel is different since it's not bundled but assembled in the same exe so it's way safer. Mac bundle structure is not safe at all for that. It's just a precaution. Prevention is better than cure.

I checked and macOS takes the CFBundleDisplayName or CFBundleName if CFBundleDisplayName is not specified, from the application's Info.plist file to populate the "App Name" and "Quit App Name" items.

You can replace it by hand and re codesign the app to see if you have good results, let me know.
I'll also add a script to replace it automatically in CtrlrMac.cpp for the next version.

I'll try to make a search & replace on export but it's not possible since the name string is split with an assembly markup insert such as : CtrlfÇ@�rX for CtrlrX and there's not room for extra letters behind. I can put something with 5 letters or less instead.
