VST3 Settings Folder Location on Mac

So the Standalone saves it's .settings file in Users/preferences/'Panel name'/
Where does a VST3 store it's MIDI Input & Output Settings (Save State) in Ableton for example?
I've been all through Users/Preferences/ and Users/Application Support and also through the System Preferences and Application Support Folders but I cannot see anything. It is working but I can't figure out where it gets stored?

There's no settings with plugins. Savestate saves the plugin settings to the DAWs project.

Which would explain why I can't find it. So in Ableton it will be handled by Ableton and buried in the .als file somewhere?

Exactly' you can open your Als file with an editor and look for panelisdirty for exemple and you'll find all the settings stored nearby.
If you want to keep your midi settings or any other general settings just save as a default preset for the plugin.
