Automatic update not downloading with Beta 38 or older versions

Since last week I have been trying to download Beta39_3_Build 1 using the automatic update. However, whenever I click "Yes", the game will instead load the CO textures and other data, then start up the game. I am playing 38_0_Build7. (Currently, I am only playing sporadically, otherwise I would have downloaded new versions as soon as they appear.)

Updates with Beta38 or older don't work to newer versions due to a file renaming.
Please update manually.
Updates will work again with newer versions to newer ones.
