Does thin glass react to light differently now?

We are updating from version 2.10 to the most recent version and noticed that thin glass is now illuminated by ambient and HDRI light more than previously.
Unfortunately we cannot give a more precise timeframe at this point but maybe you can still give us an answer to whether this is expected behaviour.

With the old version thin glass seems to behave the same regarding brightness both with activated and deactivated ambient/HDRI light. Now, brightness goes up when these lights are activated.
