At a game launch, RXT 2080 make 3 or 4 100% fan burst

When I launch a game (PNY RTX 2080 XLR8), the graphics card run some fan burst at 100% (like 4 or 5 burst) before finally stabilising. I have tested this with and without NvApiWrapper.
When this occurs, i open FanControl from the tray icon and it stop immediately.
I did not have this issue before and every fan control stuff is disabled in bios (asus x470 pro)
I am using version 234 (NET 9.0).

EDIT : i think i made a bad installation.... I went inside install folder, uninstalled it and for some reason the entire folder still contain the fan control files... Launched a game, and problem is not longer there…for the moment.
I'll inform you if otherwise.

EDIT 2: Reinstalled everything installer Net 8) ...I'm still having the issue... Nobody know ?

A 2080 is a old card that usually has this issue near the end of its life. At least when I had a 2080... I had this problem and it was very annoying. I would suggest trying afterburner's fan curve, but also to check temps of the gpu during these fan bursts. If you notice that the temps spike very high, it's most likely a thermal pad issue (you can spend time looking up how to replace thermal pads, but honestly you should look into upgrading your gpu).

So generally, I would say:

1. Use afterburner for GPU fan.
2. Check the fan curve and temps during these fan bursts. For me, it was that my GPU pads were just cooked and thermals were just awful.
3. If you notice that the fans are just set to high but your temps are fine, lower it.
4. That being said, I am 99% sure it's because your 2080 is near the end of its life (thermal pad issue, old card, voltage tear over the years)
5. I would suggest undervolting your GPU to a stable level that will allow it to run quieter and cooler until you can upgrade.

So how did you fix the problem with your 2080 ?
I know it's time to change thermal pads (but it's not riskfree) and i postpone the task for too long, i guess you convinced me !
About changing the card : now seems irrelevant since the card perform well in most games in 2k.

I fixed my 2080 temporarily by undervolting with Afterburner, which helped until I upgraded.

I suggest trying to adjust the step-up/step-down settings in FanControl (with Afterburner settings set to user-defined) to see if that makes a difference. If temperature spikes are causing the fan fluctuations, undervolting should help for now.

Find your card's highest MHz during gaming and see if you can get a stable undervolt at that speed (e.g., 2800 MHz while gaming, aim for that at a lower voltage). I recommend using the Heaven benchmark to test stability; run it once at stock settings first to establish a baseline.

Don't worry about undervolting your GPU, it's safe but may cause artifacting or instability; if so, just reset and try again. Increasing voltage is where you'll risk damaging your GPU. Watch a video online to see how to undervolt a GPU if you're not familiar.

Once you're done, you can forget about it unless you notice any problems; you can always restart without causing damage.

Just a quick message to inform that using NvApiWrapper instead of LHM made the graphic card sensor to disappear (you know, memory junction hot point etc) and the card was overheating because fans did not know what to do...
Using LHM does not make sensor to disappear !
I'm now doing what i did before : a mix of all GPU sensor temp card and now the card is heating and cooling properly, no more bursts !
