No CPU sensor detection - Can't control CPU fan speeds

Booted up my pc today with an error from FanControl saying it could no longer detect sensors for my CPU. I can control my GPU fans no problem, however the CPU fans are undetectable. So far I've:

• Updated to the newest version
• Uninstalled and reinstalled to an older version (228)
• Restarted my PC
• Enabled "hidden cards"
• Tried making a new graph
• Identify hidden fans

Since making this post I'm now getting an error in (version 228) and can no longer see any temperature sources apart from GPU. I have no idea what I can do next but any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did u check your defender? fan control was pinging windows defender which called it a trojan for me today but the program seemed to still work for me didnt completely stop.

I have the same problem but on AMD: 7800X3D B650I Aorus Ultra Mobo

Since this is also suddenly affecting Intel then Windows Defender blocking is top explanation...

I added an exception in Windows Defender to ignore the FanControl folder and that appears to have fixed the issue!
