Memory leak when running slideshow

Current Behavior

Memory leaks slowly when running slideshow until computer runs out of memory and crashes

Expected Behavior

No memory leak.

Reproduction Instructions

i3lock -F -i <MY_PHOTO_DIR>

The photo directory I'm using has has 20 jpgs, memory usage jumps every time the slideshow changes pictures.
