How would I know if my TS100 has a cloned STM controller (and is therefore unadvised for IronOS)?

Hi.

I have a TS100 and when using tips other than the one that came with it, the temperature is fluctuating rapidly and greatly. The iron is constantly cooling/heating. Can't be good.

I am already on the latest Miniware firmware, so I went looking for something else and found IronOS

Stated here is that the TS100 is no longer advised because of cloned microcontroler, yet, how would I know mine has a good or bad controller?

Or of course; it it all worth the trouble and should I just get a TS101 (or something else, suggestions welcome)
