DNS and outproxy

When using certain outproxies (like outproxy.acetone.i2p) in the browser, their DNS servers are used regardless of the system settings. Is there any way to use my own DNS settings along with these outproxies?

If I understand correctly, outproxy is just a proxy inside of I2P network.
You can conect to it in a same way as to other I2P services.
Then it's a matter of correctly configuring browser.
For example, Firefox has checkbox "Proxy DNS when using SOCKS v5".

Basically an outproxy on the i2p network is an http proxy not socks

Page at http://outproxy.acetone.i2p states that SOCKS port: 1080 is available as well.
