Soilsens-V5W not powering up - help with a correct parts substitution

Great project, but I need some help, if you would. The board doesn't power up.

I swapped (U1) 3.3V Voltage Regulator C9055 for C5370980 and it should be the same, but maybe it isn't? Could you help? I am a novice at this, and I am a bit over my head here.

I've also swapped R9 & R13 10k resistors (C25804 --> C15401), but 1% vs 5% tolerance shouldn't be the reason that prevents a bootup. I messed up the polarity of light sensor at Q2, but I fixed that already.
Any advice on test points?

I have bought some other ready-made projects of yours (CapiBridge & ESPclicker) and decided to take DIY route with this one as it was well documented, and I needed something more to connect to CapiBridge. I thought it will be easy project to start with. Thanks for the effort at the writeup, btw!

I put together the board and reflow soldered the SMD components for the 1st time in my life. Much fun and lots of learning. Steam iron + cooking thermometer is perfect whilst your wife isn't watching - who knew?! Phone camera at manual focus and max zoom on a stand is a decent microscope. I feel like a king of junky solutions.

Would be great if I could get it working after all of this effort. Thanks, either way!

1. How do you know that the board is not powering up?
2. Does the LED blink when you disconnect and reconnect the battery?
3. Check the LED polarity.
4. Check the voltage on the big ceramic capacitor. When triggered, it should be charged to 3.3V. Press the trigger button to verify.
5. Is the timer on the board a TPL5110 or TPL5111?
6. What MOSFET model is used?
7. If possible, provide a close-up photo of the board. Sometimes basic errors are hiding in plain sight.
