Hey @dmitrymur @dmitryvm1, coincidentally bump into the repo.
I didn't went through code and and surely don't know the reasoning behind why you need exactly 0.3 version of tracing-subscriber.

But if you could use a fork of official sentry implementation for rust isn't it be better?

And potentially they could include a PR of your work as well.

One more time not sure what the reasoning behind but that's my thoughts.

It turned out that the latest updates have all the necessary features to use sentry's distributed tracing. I have published an example usage with actix-web, which also includes custom span mapper to allow to pass external trace_id to spans.
