Debugging tips? "Failed to retrieve model"

Hi.

I've had this set up for a while and just haven't got it to work. I've installed the integration with HACS and have inserted the code in my configuration.yaml, but (after restarts) I just don't get any camera entity for the map, and no errors or anything that I can identify.

I searched home_assistant.log for any mentions of "cloud_map" and it seems to load just fine. Then I tried removing the whole block of code, restarting, reinserting, restarting, and now I get a whole LOT of recurring errors:

and the map image is blue with white text "Failed to retrieve device".

The vacuum is a Roborock S5 Max. I also have an S6 which I just added as a second camera and I get the same result.

Can anyone provide guidance on where to go next?

Make sure that your token is correct. You can do it using tokens extractor

Good idea. Doing so ought to not change the token, right?

And I assume it's not possible there are other/new country servers?

Actually it will probably change a token... What country do you have set in Xiaomi Home?

Both accounts have Australia set as the region in the Mi Home app. I couldn't find any locale/server setting for the devices themselves, setting for
It doesn't appear that there is an Australian server, so there must be a mapping from the regions/countries to servers, but a 10 minute search online yielded no leads. Also, just for kicks I tested 'au' in the token extractor, but (of course) it failed. Are you aware of how the region list in the app translates to servers? And should it not make a difference anyway? The thing I don't understand is that everything works fine in the Mi Home app controlling them and viewing the maps, so the data has to be coming from somewhere...

I haven't tried removing them from the account yet - I'm reluctant to if I don't have a reliable way of re-retrieving the tokens quickly... catch-22.

Australia should work with sg server: documentation.

Yeah, that is really strange... You can try to manually set sg server, maybe somehow it will things work,,,
