What is the difference between the hybrid and hybrid-waveshare option when setting up?

Apologies if this is covered somewhere but I haven't seen it.
I use the Waveshare RS485 adapters for my inverter to enable this integration and Solis Cloud to work simultaneously, but I don't recall the "hybrid-waveshare" option existing when I first set up the integration.
What difference does it make and why should I use one over the other?

The hybrid waveshare is just a naming convention used due to issues with low values reported by the normal hybrid selection: #75

I am not entirely sure if this is caused by waveshare, but a placeholder at this stage
