This discussion thread is meant for root on GrapheneOS and future support for it in this project.
At this point in time, even though only partially, ReZygisk is the only implementation of Zygisk that functions on it.
ReZygisk and NeoZygisk are the only implementations of Zygisk that function on it
This is meant for general discussions about root on GrapheneOS, but mostly focused on Zygisk.

Currently known issues:

1. "ZYGISK DOESN'T WORK!"

• Normal Zygisk doesn't work on GrapheneOS because of their hardening. The Magisk devs have said that they have no plans to alter their implementation to make it work.

2. Shamiko "Unsupported environment"

• As I've been told, this is on shamiko's side (And out of scope from what I understand?)

3. LSPosed "Shell tried to perform DLC via memory"

• This is because of GrapheneOS's hardening. They do not allow system apps to perform DCL (dynamic code loading) nor do they allow you to change that.

4. MagiskHide either not working at all or rendering apps unfunctional.

• On normal Magisk, it works. On Kitsune Mask it causes apps to cease functioning, probably because of it's tweaks.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not well versed in android development, let alone rooting. I'm just trying to have a daily driver that functions just the way I want it to. And if it helps me, it sure as hell will help others.
I want GrapheneOS because I want privacy. I want root because I want control.
Treat whatever I say with however many grains of salt you want, but don't forget to add some sugar for my intents.
I want to make my phone MINE. I'm sure you want that too.
