Is your feature request related to a problem?

Poisonous Concoction of Bouncing has the following mod:

Modifiers to number of Projectiles instead apply to the number of times this Skill Chains

And also:

Chains +2 Times

This means that, if equipped with GMP and GV (both +4 proj), a single use of the skill chains a total of 2+4+4=10 times, and hits 11 times (in optimistic variant). Player could have other sources of +proj as well.

To report DPS more accurately, user has to manually enter "11" as "Count" for the skill.

A Projectile Mastery, commonly taken with PConc is:

Projectiles deal 20% increased Damage with Hits and Ailments for each time they have Chained

A hit with PConc may have chained anywhere between 0 and 10 times, for an average of 5. User has to manually input 5 into "Configuration" to reflect DPS more accurately.

Without these two adjustments, reported DPS can easily be 12-13x lower (it's mainly the first thing, though).

Also, when in suggestion mode ("selecting this gem would give you") GMP and GV are listed as detriments (due to the supports' inherent projectile damage penalty), while, in fact, they are the biggest buffs to the skill's damage (beating any Awakened support).

Describe the solution you'd like

Arguably, PoB should "know" all these things and be able to reflect it in the damage model.

Both of these parameters:

  • Skill count
  • # of times Skill has Chained

could be changed to "(if not as calculated)"-type fields where the user can input an override (if, for example, they see these numbers as too optimistic) but otherwise PoB calculates them as described above and uses those values.

Suggestion mode ("selecting/enabling this gem will give you") should reflect those calculations as well (giving around 400% more damage per GMP and GV).

Alternatively, a warning could be issued if these conditions are present but values have not been manually updated.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Currently, PConc users need to adjust the fields manually. No workaround for DPS being underreported on web tools like poe.ninja.
